Operations / Discrete manufacturing

Release a build against the right bill of materials.

Specify the components per unit, release a production order and inspect the result before finished goods enter stock.

Production connects a finished panel to its bill of materials and the inspection evidence.

How the work moves

  1. Set the recipe

Select the finished product and list the component quantities required for one unit. An amendment produces a new bill of materials revision.

  2. Release the order

Choose the recipe revision and quantity to build. The order retains that revision so a later recipe change cannot silently change the instructions for this run.

  3. Record the inspection

Enter the outcome and supporting evidence. A pass consumes available, unreserved components and adds the finished units to stock.
